At first sight, the Internet fact is not so related with cell phone industry. But studying deeper this matter we realize that smartphone users spend a lot of time on the internet. So, it is important to talk about the perspectives of Internet security ten years from now on, especially because the studies aren’t very encouraging for most users. In 2025, data privacy will be more vulnerable that it is now and, for sure, most problems will be for average people.

Why am I saying that? Because researches reveal that wealthy people will be able to pay some services that will ensure them data and information protection so, this way they’ll feel more secure. Meanwhile, most of the people will prefer free Internet services but in exchange they’ll literally offer their private information. A first impression is that they won’t care too much, but the truth is they won’t also have other choices.

"This is the creation of privacy as a luxury good. It also has the unfortunate effect of establishing a new divide: the privacy rich and the privacy poor. Privacy rights will be managed by market solutions, with the affluent able to maintain better control of their privacy. Like luxury cars and summer homes, control over private data will be the privilege of winning financially", are a couple of merged opinions of scientist which participated at this research.

Still, the opinions in this direction aren’t few, because also a University of Washington associate professor of communication, Gina Neff commented about this fact: "People will be increasingly more accepting of exchanging privacy for services and customization, unless advocacy and education efforts are increased now". Unfortunately, this is sad but true and I don’t see how trust could remain a characteristic in which people can believe in one decade from now on.
