Is it a good or a bad decision the one taken by Samsung board? Hard to say, but let us analyze it a bit. It’s all about the Galaxy Alpha, the first smartphone delivered by the Korean operator starting to August this year, but it will be backed off in favor to their upcoming A5. We should say that the Alpha resembles a lot with the iPhone 5 and iPhone 5S thanks to its brushed aluminum metal edges.
Galaxy A5, the new era
Still, the idea of changing one smartphone with another comes from the fact that Galaxy Alpha and also Galaxy A5 look much alike, the only difference advantaging the newest model considering that it is thinner. In fact, the company’s board states that this is their slimmest smartphone yet to be delivered on market at only 6.7 millimeters. In fact, it is thinner than iPhone 6 is, which measures 6.9 millimeters.
It was launched in China
The new model is already on market, starting to November, but only in China, which is yet the biggest smartphone market from all around the World. But the official launch can be considered only in January, when the A5 will appear in South Korea, the country from which the company is original. Outside this intention, no other rumors are circulating at this point.
Galaxy Alpha, available with AT&T
So there are no information whether the Samsung Galaxy A5 will be launched or not in the United States of America and also on other countries, which is why we have to wait at this moment. Still, the Galaxy Alpha is now available in U.S. but only if you use some AT&T services, reason for which we can say at this point when and if it will go outside the market of the United States in the near future.
