The intentions of T-Mobile to improve its network reliability and to threatened the leader Verizon on the market from the United States of America gets more serious now. Many studies, like is the one made by RootMetrics. The source calculated, between 8th and 13th of November 2014 the results of the four big carriers’ networks in San Jose. The study was based on the combined speed and reliability of the network.
98.5 is the score
So, even though with a very small margin, T-Mobile overpassed Verizon and T-Mobile scoring 98.5, comparing to 98.3 and 98.0! On the last position, Sprint managed to get a score of only 93.7 which means a very big gap from the competition. 50 percent more speed in half of year
The carrier’s median download speed went up from 15.1 Mbps (tested in May) to 25.3 Mbps, while the upload speed average increased from 14.1 Mbps to 20.3 Mbps, which are for sure quite impressive results in only half of year! This speed performance lead to T-Mobile being the fastest network overall in San Jose, earning itself a score of 93.4 in the Speed Index. The same score achieved by AT&T. In data, call and text performance, T-Mobile placed in joint first with either AT&T or Verizon, or both.
