Some good news for Samsung fans! It looks like NewEgg will be selling one of the former flagships smartphone of the company for only 110 dollars, unlocked and off any contract. We are talking about the ATIV S version, a device which uses Windows 8 OS and will upgrade soon to 8.1. In fact, without this offer, Samsung ATIV S isn’t very expensive unlocked, as it costs 130 dollars normally, but if you can take advantage of it, why shouldn’t you?
Characteristics
OK, we brought in discussion facts about the operating system and now it is the moment in which we will give more details about the other characteristics of the device. It has a 4.8″ HD Super AMOLED display with HD and 1280x720 pixel resolution, also its screen protection is ensured by a Corning Gorilla Glass 2. For the software of the Samsung ATIV S we should say that it has a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, 1 GB RAM memory and storage capacity of 16 GB which can be supplied with microSD thanks to the card slot with which its equipped.
Camera and battery
For photography lovers, it is to say that it has a quite nice 8-megapixel rear camera which has autofocus and LED flash and also, in addition, a smaller device on the front side of just 1.9-megapixel. Last, but not least, let us say that the battery is replaceable and it has a capacity of 2300 mAh. Unfortunately for other users, the smartphone is only designed to work on AT&T networks. It also can function with T-Mobile, but not on the 3G service of the carrier. Another major gap that it has is the impossibility to connect to the 4G LTE network. But this is understandable as time passed from the device’s release date.
