Rumors say that Apple is preparing a big surprise for their customers in the idea that the company is willing to reintroduce a stylus after five years. The board of Apple consider at this moment in appearance that this kind of tool helps for a better experience regarding the touchscreen than the one when using your own finger. It is a bit strange situation because Steve Jobs himself, founder of Apple, disagreed a couple of years ago with the usage of stylus and chose to leave it behind.
Stylus for iPad
Now it is not official that the tool will be reintroduces, but rumors go this way. To enforce this, we can take in consideration the words of some analysts which bring arguments that can be taken in consideration by Apple board as well: "Given that it's more precise than a person's fingers, a stylus can be more convenient to use that the combination of keyboard and mouse in some cases. There, we believe Apple's stylus will improve the user experience of 12.9-inch iPad."
They used it in... 1998!
At this moment, rival companies are using these tools and give them to customers when they buy some products. It is, for example, the case of Samsung, which has a stylus for the Galaxy Note 4. But Apple isn’t a brand which used these, so their chances of making a boom out of this don’t seem great. Because of this, not even many pieces of such tool are expected to be put on market, but only around 2 or 2.5 million. As a curiosity, let just say that Apple had once stylus, but this happened for Apple Newton, a PDA device that was discontinued in… 1998!
