Google is expanding its business and so 10 years ago the company made Google Apps which had the purpose, from the beginning to challenge harshly the Microsoft Office system. After a decade, the giant want to take from Microsoft, a company which decreases significantly at this moment, 80 percent of the ones which are using Microsoft Office. Of course, their mission isn’t an easy one, but they have some targeted steps which might be followed in order to submit people from their rivals.
First steps
First of all, Google have to be 100 percent sure that at least 85 percent of their apps work at the same level of those of Office, so this way customers might forget about the program with which they were accustomed. Besides this, Google surely comes up with features that work even better than those of Microsoft, such is the realtime collaboration in Docs. Sure, it will remain somewhere between 10 and 15 percent which won’t work like it does with Office, like is the case of Excel, for example, but the Google team is improving a program such is that so in the near future the problem will be fixed.
What is next
Google aims to also treat office documents like first-class citizens so, this way, who will choose to use Google apps instead of Microsoft Office, at least once without mattering because of which reason and will realize that it can easily operate Office documents with this program, might opt right away for Google aps. They even won’t try to convince enterprises to convert from Microsoft, but it looks like will try and provide them the services alongside with the Office package. Once those will learn that these are cheaper and maybe more advantageous, for sure they might come alone to join only Google apps.
