Since the start of the last quarter of 2014, Sprint started an aggressive campaign aimed to regain customers and especially to attract as much as possible newbies. After a dozen of interesting promotions, the third cell phone service provider from the United States found another way to extend. Until now, Sprint had only 1,100 in the United States, which is a very low number, especially comparing to Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile. But the situation is about to radically change soon.
150 percent increase
Sprint will acquire and operate the stores of RadioShack, a company which entered into bankruptcy. And they aren’t few at all, considering that they have 1,750 in all the country. This means that Sprint will increase its stores with more than 150 percent, which definitely represents a blow! Through this store, Sprint also can give more space for prepaid providers that are linked with them such are Virgin Mobile and Boost Mobile, two out of the most important from the United States.
Keep an eye out
Until now, half of the total number of stores which once were owned by RadioShack is in the property of Sprint which can, this way to expose much better its prepaid brands. We can’t tell you for sure which former RadioShack stores are now Sprint’s, but you should watch and see how things stay if it happens to have such a place near your home or your work place, for instance.
