Canadian customers of Rogers, a prepaid brand from this country might have serious problems in the following weeks using their network. In fact, to be more precise, the customers from the Western part of the country. It looks like this is, as the company announced, because of its upgrades. Rogers will upgrade some of their towers so this is why people which are using these services might have to deal with intermittent disruptions while using their cell phones.

911 service will work properly

The objective of those upgrades is the introduction of the 700 MHz spectrum, which the company bought in an auction back in 2014. The announce to the customers was made both by email and SMS and it is expected, normally, that the problems will only appear a couple of hours a day, in peak time, but it looks like the 911 service won’t be affected in any way, which is, to be honest, very good considering the other facts. Don’t know exactly what a few weeks mean, but keep an eye out and let us know how things going with Rogers.
