IPhones don’t work with physical keyboards, as you well know, of course, fact for which, sometimes, its customers maybe are missing the days when they could have felt something under their fingers when tipping an SMS for example. This is why, Tactus came up with an idea that might reduce the thing that they are missing. Of course not the classic type like it is the case of BlackBerry, but a special model which will be revealed to you in the following rows.
How it works
Let us say that it will be available with Phorm, which is a kind of iPad mini case. We are talking here about a technology which can generate physical keys from a flat surface on demand, giving you a smooth, unbroken surface for general touch-based interaction, and a physical keyboard when you need one. The company’s innovation uses a microfluidic panel to achieve its magic, routing liquid through invisible channels to expand specific areas of the top layer of a touch panel, producing protrusions and bumps where previously there were none.
It cost between 99 and 149 dollars a piece
The device will be a paper thin one and it is expected to be launched in this summer so if you are interested learn that you have a few months of expectations. Of course you want to read something about the price. Being a little device, it isn’t exaggerated expensive, costing 149 dollars but you can get also a fat discount if you preorder it now.
